Orpheon

A French fanfare band is an ambulatory brass, wind and percussion ensemble usually seen at local festivals, carnivals and street events.  From 2023 – 2025 as director of the Orpheon Fanfare in Brittany, an amateur group of musicians of varying abilities, I selected and arranged appropriate music, ran our weekly rehearsals, supported and improved players’ techniques and led our public performances.  Wherever possible I would bring audience participation into this fun-time, feel good music.
